Getting Reg stickers in PA for a ski from NJ without a title?

Anyone have any experience registering a stand up without a title in PA?

Is it possible or do I have to buy a new title from the manuf.?

I'm picking up a SN SJ this weekend with no title. The owner lives in Jersey and has it registered in Jersey and told me that they don't need titles to register skis there.

Is this true?

I was under the impression that a title was necessary in order to register it.

All I can get from this guy is a bill of sale.

Any ideas?

TIA

Also should add this... I have seen other people saying that it is easy for the current registered owner of the ski to request a new title if they don't have one. Does this apply to people in NJ?

If so, can this guy in jersey who is selling the SJ just request a new title for the ski before I buy it from him without much difficulty?

Anyone know the procedure for that?

Thanks

Look that information up. Make sure he's right.

Tennessee is the same, just say to your county clerk's office "New Jersey is a PWC non-title state so all the guy gave me was this bill of sale."

To help you, I would also get his old registration information.

yeah a decent looking bill of sale is all you should need. we dont have titles and even new jersey gives us a hard time when transferring regs with in our own effin state. I think they have bill of sales on the NJDMV websites. You can print one out for boat and try that first.

actually have the seller fill out the bill of sale first and get it noterized before u get there. then get your signature noterized back in PA
