I'm finding gas pooling in front of the motor and slowly filling in from under the gas tank, around the foam (with ski level). Once it fills to 3/8" or so it stops so the leak has to be low. I suspect the tank, but those things are THICK. Anybody have a similar experience to share before I pull the tank out? Thanks.

I had the same thing but it was a brand new tank. Eventually I found a couple loose connections in my fuel lines that, coupled with tank pressure due to the summer heat, were adding up to a couple inches of fuel between rides.
Quick test is to clean all fuel from bilge and crack gas cap for a couple days to prevent any pressure build up. If you still have fuel, pull the tank.
