Fuel pick up question

The last few times i rode my ski i rode till it starts stuttering like its low on gas then i switch to reserve and ride back. But every time i look inside the tank is still half full. I thought about just running reserve but i need the early warning when im low on fuel. Can/should i lower the main fuel pickup or do i just need to keep my tank full or on reserve?

are u sure that "on" line isn't kinked anywhere and its just depriving the motor of fuel for a few seconds...leading u to think you're out of fuel?

No its pretty consistent. Once i get around half i starts to choke a little when the fuel is sloshing around i guess. Runs great till it get below or around 1/2

I have my lines set so when I hit reserve I have exactly one gallon left in the tank.

sounds like you may have a pin hole or something in your fuel pick up. Probably right right around the half tank mark. I'd pull it out and see if you can find the hole. Then replace or patch.
