I need some advice on my 2012 Yamaha Superjet. I’m wanting to do a pretty extensive buildup of my ski but just don’t know what the best products are to get or what to do. I am building a freestyle ski to be used on a lake. I have cut the pole down, D cut the ride plate, bilge pump and installed a worx intake grate. Other than that the ski is stock. I’m very mechanically inclined and very good with fiberglass.
I’m planning on doing the foot holds and mat. How big does the sheet of hydroturf come in? How much will I need for this ski?
I have been reading about shortening the back end a couple inches. Is this a good idea? Any other fiberglass mods that are a good idea since ill have it all torn down?
I want to install a trim system. What is a good system to use? What type of impeller should I get? I know nothing about the pump and drive line. What should I be doing there? Any info on the pump and drive line would help me out.
I know there are lots of threads out there but I just need a list of everything I should be doing and which parts I should be getting to make this possible.
I’m not planning on doing any mods to the engine this year, but will be doing it next winter.
Is there anything else you could help me out with it would be greatly appreciated. I’m excited to bring my riding to the next level.
