FX-1 Footholds and painting trim pieces??

What should I expect when putting in footholds. Will their be an exhaust tube their??? and if so what do i do?? I would like to put rev footholds in? what are your thoughts.

Also I am painting my ski and am curious what people have done about the purple trim pieces. I have seen picks of builds where they are painted black and grey but how to do it???? Painting it will just chip off right?? I would like to change the purple to something different and am planning on doing the big piece around the handlepole bracket and the pieces at the back of the tray.

usually all you have to do is dent the exhaust tube just enough to clear the foot holds. No big deal....

You can paint them but they will eventually chip off. Some people buy the next year ups black trim and put those on but if I were you I would just take the trim off and turf over the bond rail. You could also turf over the purple on the pole but finding a black replacement probobly wouldn't be to hard to find either.

I used SEM brand spray paint to paint my purple fire extinguisher housing. start with their "sand free" 38363 adhesion promoter, then whatever color you want. It's designed for plastics and vinyls and has held up really well.
