I just bought a new Hooker 10/16 impeller for my SJ. When it took it out of the box it is all rough and unsmooth metal, looks just like the raw metal after they 'sanded' it. Is that right?? In the pics it looks like they are polished and smooth. I thought you want the impeller to be slippery and smooth for no cavitation.

I got mine refurbished and it came looking the same way. Not sure if it's better or worse.

They are not polished. Should have a rougher looking machined finish

also noticed that on both my hooker props, They dont look the same like in the photos but they meant to be like that.
