"Shortened hull and D cut ridplate AND TUBBIES! makes a world of difference."

WaveDemon,
Try Legdrags 840 or my 780 at Daytona... Pete's rides nicer, but mine turns REALLY REALLY nice. I cant even ride my stock hull 750 x2 in the surf, it steers like such ass.
sounds like a plan depending on surf conditions. I don't want to borrow a ski in real bad conditions.

I've got to admit one of my favorite things about the x2 is all the creative mods you guys do. I guess it might be out of necessity though.

it was tom21's x2 with a stock 750 and a/m 650 exhaust. You guys make it look easier that it is. that thing doesn't want to turn! this one needed more power too (sorry tom) I started to get it to turn by weighting the rear of the ski. should a weight the inside or outside of the ski, it didn't seem to matter in my short ride. I think I'll keep my fixed steering sj but I'd like to bum some more x2 rides.

I did manage to side mount it though. :wiggle:

i know..i tired my buddies modded 650 w/ accusteer and it was hard!!..i couldnt even turn

You should have rode mine, Tim. Mine has the quick ratio steering and handles much better than Tom's does.

I'm pulling the 40's keihen off today and putting on my 44 Mikuni. Mine should be tuned right soon. You'll have to try it.

When I turn hard... If I'm turning hard to the left, I leave my left foot foward in the tray, and I brong my right foot over and put it in the back of the tray. It lets me control the weight on the back of the ski. I need to learn to leg drag.

leg dragging is just for showing off on a lake. it's not like you could leg drag up the face of a wave.

or could you? hmmmm
