Faded hull and black moldy STUFF...Removal??

Hey All...I just picked up a Tigershark and the hull is faded a bit. Well...more than a bit...more like pink now. It also has the typical black moldy soot looking stuff on it. I took it to the car wash and scrubbed as best I could with the equipment available ( foam brush,hi pressure hose) which helped a bit. My question is....

What products or procedures do you use to bring back the hull color and remove the black gunk from the hull/seat cover?? I'm not looking to repaint it but if I could get the hull back to 1/2 as good as it is now...I'd be happy.

That hull will never come back to life, but buff it using wax, and a buffing wheel.

As far as the black stuff, get a stiff bristle brush, and scrub for hours using any good cleaner, windex, bath room cleaner, "mold remover"...

burn that mutha down!

Ya know...after re-building and restoring a couple of '93 Tigersharks for a buddy...I swore I'd never touch 1 of these POS's again. Then I went and bought a '97 TS 1000 !!! LOL!! Shoot me now. Anyway...the hull is in great shape...just Alabama faded. Engine compartment is nearly immaculate. Motor has no signs of ever being torn down or been worked on by a Hammer Tech or Ham Fist. I'll try a rubbing compound and wheel and see what happens.

A light rubbing compound will do wonders. An orbital buffer and several hours finishing off with a good yellow paste will seal it in for the season.

Never thought of that. Clorox Outdoor Formula cut with a little water might just do it. Battery is charging right now and I pulled the frozen pump apart already. New bearings and re-assembly and we'll see what happens!
