exhaust tube hitting foothold

Okay, cutting left side and removing foam no problem.
Cut out right side and im a diggin the foam out when BAM!
What the heck was that, jeepers thats my exhaust tube:aargh4:
Finish taking foam out, put foothold in (right side) and it hits the tube, lets say a little bit.
Do i dent it,do i need to worry about the heat from it since the foothold will be resting on top of it?.
This is :bs2:
any tips?
Change exhaust to come out nose of ski and replace old exhaust tube area with a scupper(if i do this will scupper also hit foothold)

Most footholds allow for the tube by having an indent there. Maybe reshape the fiberglass.

Yeah i did notice that the right foothold had a noticeable rise in the toe area when compared with the left one. Was able to feel it when rubbing with my fingers .

Matt e, do you know if the heat from the exhaust is an issue under the foothold?
I'll call Wammer tomorrow since i got the F/S mat kit & cyclone FH's from him
and ask him what he does in that situation.

you might have put the hold to far toward the front, since the tube slants up. I had to move mine back like a 1/4 of an inch and it fit great, that was with rickters though..

Hammer, If it touches a little , it's not a problem. There is very little issue from heat, there is lots of water at that point. If it's hitting hard. Either adjust the FH further back as your first option or dent the tube slightly.

I didn't check that .
I do know that i can slide the foothold back and forth after cutting it out using wammers template quite a bit prolly half inch in either direction.With plenty of room for screws or rivets. I made sure not to cut to much in these areas. Better to trim theses areas after rough cut, then cut to fit.
Is it an issue if take the exhaust tube and replace with scupper under right foothold?.

Ahh, the old duel scupper question. This is the only way it flies.
Left side straight out the back. right side needs to go under ex tube & dump into the pump cavity. others have gone strait back the right side & relocate the ex out the side. I personally don't like that method. what happens is the force of the water blocks the exhaust (hydralic pressure) & chokes the motor. Adding a front exhaust will help, as will a ex cover, like WCF uses. But it still adds significant back pressure & will choke a high output motor. Keep it in the pump area & use the stock ex tube straight out the back, all will be good!

how about running the exhaust out the pump area? I'm thinking of relocating my X-2 Exhaust out the rear, into the pump area so I can run tubbies on the front ...

That's where the Blaster dumps it. The exhaust would be separated from the intake by the ride plate and the hull. I don't see much of a problem except that it will get dirty.

Quite a few FS tricks start from the tail stand position. If you dump exhaust into the pump cavity, thats the gateway to the pump intake duct.
This is not where you want the exhaust. Plus as also stated, you will have a greasy azz pump!!!

The only other option is the Joe Kenny "Bull Horn " from a couple of years ago.................. ( I'm glad Joe out grew that!)

just cut the right side further back so it doesnt hit the tube. if you go all the way back, it wont hit. PM icerocket1286 for some other install ideas.:bananalama:
