Ernesto and Lake Erie

I know its bad for the people down south along the coast, but I love Hurricane season / tropical storms here in the north :biggrin: .

Just checked the Lake Erie wave reports for Monroe MI and Erie is at 5 - 8 feet. 15 - 25 knot winds from the NE, all thanks to the low pressure created with Ernesto. Hopefully gets better as the week progresses :hail:

Nice... hit it up bro. Unfortunately where I am on Lake Erie, NE winds do nothing. We need SW winds for any kind of waves. Get out there... oh, and get some pics too... :biggthumpup:

keep us posted ! im still recovering from the 5 hrs we spent on the 4-5 footers with the blaster we had on saturday ! :arms: lookin forward to some 8's :hail: , the 800-b-1 is fueled and ready to rip with a new wet wolf cone !:beerchug: :biggthumpup:

I will definitely keep up with the weather reports. I will try to take a camera if I can get out into it ... I will definitely get out into it just not positive when. I hope the low pressure gets stronger as the week progreses.

TXJFrosty, here in MI we usually only get good east winds in spring and fall. Most of the summer is prevailing west winds. Where on Erie do you ride?

Blaster800 good luck with the Wet Wolf cone. I really like the difference it made on my SJ. Saturday's waves were great and kept getting stronger. I wonder if that was the start of the low pressure that was developing.

8 footers here in Cleveland today... Sick Sick Sick stuff. Why couldn't my ski die in the spring when there was no waves... oh wait, it did.

About 20 miles south of Buffalo, NY... small town called Angola. We launch out of Sturgoen Point...

usually in the fall we get decent wind storms from the southwest... waves usully go 4-6 foot, but I have seen 8 - 10 during pretty solid wind storms.
