Other Engine water valve

If a water valve doesn't close all the way,(kaw 650 motor) would that keep the fuel from getting to the top of the motor. Making the plugs to stay dry???? And keeping the engine from running???

Plugs won't get wet after cranking for awhile. Compression is 135 both sides and fuel is going through carbs. So what could it be????

You need spark, compression, and fuel. You have spark and compression so it's obviously a fuel issue. My guess is the carbs are hooked up wrong, fuel line vent is backwards, or the carb was rebuilt incorrectly if you messed with it.

On a side note, you need to make sure that petcock (valve) is closed or the engine will run like absolute crap (if at all) and you'll never be able to tune it.

Dump a little premix fuel down the carb and see if it pops off. if you have spark it should start for a few seconds. If it does not get a prime and keep running after doing that a few times, you definitely have fuel pumping issues.

But also block off that water dump valve on the cases. Those can be nothing but trouble sometimes. You can make your own block off plate with 1/8" alum plate. Let us know how it goes.

Didn't run after pouring gas in the carbs, but did back-fire,,,, wow !!!!!! Real loud. So i pulled the flywheel and found the key broke in-half. So i'm thinking the timing was off from the beginning. But i'd like to check the timing before i put it all back together and try it again. At top dead center on the front cyclinder what do i look at threw the cover to line up the mark on the cover??? You guy's know what i'm saying. Thanks for the helppppp!!!!!
