D cut vs even plate

what would be better,, iv seen the D cut plates but i was thinking instead of a D cut y not cut the plate even with the back of the hull

isnt that what a stock plate is? thats how it is on older skis, idk bout the newer ones

A lot people start with an even cut ride plate and then D cut it.... That's what I did on my 750 until I chopped an inch or so off the back of the hull. Then it was pretty much flush.

after taking that much off there isnt really much left

cut flush so its even and then D cut the MF'er. No point to D-cut if its hanging out the back 3 inches. That is just asking for a good wound

V-Cuts work well if you're running a trim setup.

d-cut,i started out with a oem rideplate for a while then got a texuilem d-cut and will never go back.

alot of how the ride plate will affect your riding will depend on your weight, where your footholds are placed , if you riding in footholds or stagger stance , surf or flatwater .
if you start flush you can always cut the d plate in it but you cannot go back .
