So got this Blaster not too long ago, forget what year but it has the 61x in it.

Anyways, its been a real pain to start it. Fuel is flowing, spark is good, cylinders are wet when I pull the plugs. Crank crank crank ... nothing. Hit the primer ... nothing.

Finally I think it might be flooding, turn down the low speed and resort to throwing a spray of starter fluid it (yeah I know bad, it was my last resort) and brap started right up. Turned it off, waited a couple hours, hit the starter and again less than a second of cranking and its back up, absolutely no problems, ran it on the water and it was a beast absolutely no problems.

Fast forward a couple days and its doing the same thing. WTF I thought it was just because it hadn't been ran all winter.

So I'm left scratching my head. Maybe some old gas?

Hmm well ill probably invest into a legitimate compression tester. All I was using was the rubber ended hope it seals one.

But on a 10 year old worn engine would 10 to 15 psi off of new be detrimental to a 150 psi engine? On the other blaster I was getting the same readings from but it starts on first crank almost everytime even after a week or so.
