Chopping Question

I know theres a ton of threads on this here and on pwc, but Im not really finding the answer Im looking for.

I just bought a 94 X2, basically the first Ive ever ridden. Its gonna be the lake ski until I can figure the sidemount in the river. Say like 3/4 riding will be bouys and the rest will be freeride.

Im thinking about chopping the hull for two reasons. I was screwing around and with more weight on the back, it rails way harder and doesnt unload the pump. I think if i shorten it, the back would sit lower in the water. And its not much of a jumper, which I feel it could be, it just doesnt like leaving the water.

Would chopping some off help? Or would i screw myself in the bouys?

Chopping the back does make nose feel lighter. But if you chop too much it will DEF screw up your bouys. My -4" is unridable over 40mph for more then 5-10secs....lol

Start -1" or -1.5" It will still carve nice, handle high speed well. X2's though by design dont like the nose to left easily.

I chopped 2" off the back and installed a finger trim setup. This lets the nozzle have more clearance and gets the nose out of the water. The more powa behind it, the further you come out of the water!

Ill try and take a little off at a time. The 750 should help quite a bit too.

What would the nose fill do for me? Cause i gotta do fiberglass work now anyways(hit a pylon running buoys!)

My woman is furious about that. Last time I had her a ski and I rode it, i broke it in half and then someone stole it
