Bridging external fuel pump outlets

Been running an external fuel pump a little over a year and was just recently told to bridge the two outlets in case one clogs up(think like an H). At first it made sense but I can't seem to locate any information about anyone else doing that.

Has anyone done that? Any downside?

My are bridged, haven’t had any issues with it, was fun trying something new. Came out pretty clean too..

Pretty common. I think it’s more about equalizing pressure and less about a safety if one gets clogged.

Old thread I know. Did you run the bridge before or after the filters?

It was in-between external fuel pump and intake on carbs. I only had one line filter and it was before the fuel pump.
