Boysen reeds cheap?

So Ive always heard the best things about boysen reeds. Certainly not so with moto tasarni... So towards the end of last season I bought some carbon reeds from them and got perhaps 20 hours on them. When Rebuilding my motor this week I notice every single petal on them is peeled back and not sealing. The carbon pedals are about 1mm away and the normal glass pedals are about .5mm away at the tip.

For an expensive set of reeds I expect more. Certainly this is not normal?
I tried flipping one set but it did not result in much improvement either.

No opinions on this? I know tons of you guys use boysen. Or have you all moved to the V3s now.

I run Boysen glass reeds been in for three years now and still look new. I never run carbon on a recreational ski.
