i have a 94 blaster and i am putting a race ported speed worx top end on it. I was wodering what is the size of the stock carb? How big should i go w/ the new motor? will be running a b-pipe and an msd enhancer

The 61x motor came with a 44mm carb. Not sure what to recommend on what you will need, a 46 perhaps. Maybe contact SpeedWorx and give them your exact setup and get some recommendations.

what are you gong to do with that ski? if you are going to race it you'd be better off with a dual carb setup on a 62t case. if you are going to free ride it be prepared for a hit that isn't that low in rpm if it truely is race ported.

I hope he knows that the blaster isn't a great speed ski. when it comes to top speed you want to run higher rpms. that means raising the stock rev limiter and usually a dry pipe and lots of carberation (like dual 44s). good luck.

a race ported motor would yeild less brap that a freestyle ported motor and probably even less brap than a motor with stock exhaust port height.

the single 44 will be fine in that setup
just leave it
if you decide to run 62t cases then maybe you can go for twins and get more brapp

i put a bored-to-48mm stocker on my wifes 61x case. i opened up the stock manifold to match the carb and cleaned up the huge lump that sits right below the bore and remove a lot of other excess metal in the manifold and it made a huge difference.

im using an identical carb on my 62t case and its very comparable but the 62t wins the brap prize.

thanx.. now we are getting some where! who bores out carbs? This is this guys 1st ski. The top end is currently on my sj that i just got it was a SS motor but i think am getting a lamey:Banane01: .. and mabey a stroker:Banane01:
