Big bore Superjet 61X

Hello,

I guess you will tell me to search, but I've tried, and did not find the info I was looking for...

I'm thinking about boring my 61X-cylinder to 760, or at least something bigger than 701, because my sleeves and pistons are not in the best shape.

My plan is to buy new sleeves and pistons and do the rest of the work myself. But I have some questions about this, because it's my first re-sleeve job.

If I buy 84mm sleeves, do I need to do any machineing in the cyliders (exept from porting)?

Where can I buy the sleeves? I live in Sweden, so it must be someone that can ship worldwide. I've heard that the L.A Sleeves is almost the same as the 62T-sleeves, so I guess the NW-sleeves is the easiest and best for freeride/freestyle?

I also wonder if you have some opinions on what pistons I should buy?

Do I need to do any machineing to my 64? cases when I've changed to the Big bore-sleeves?

I will be very happy for all input I can get from you about this!

Best Regards,
Ludde

Yes, the BIG bore sleeves are bigger in diameter and the stock sleeve bore is too small and will have to be bored out and a new flange cut also.
We use Northwest sleeves but not an EASY job to port afterwords.
The Northwest sleeves come with a big thick sleeve flange, you can install the sleeve to what port timing you want then deck off the remaining excess after the sleeves are installed.
Randy at Watcon also makes a big bore freestyle specific sleeve that probably works even better than the Northwest sleeve (Custom made for Randy by NW).
You will need to flycut the top case for the BB sleeves to fit.
If you bore it out to 3.655 and cut all the way down to the bottom, this will clear just about all 86-87mm big bore aftermarket sleeves.
Search for postings by ZERO, as this has been posted here before.
We offer BB 771cc top end kits that are complete.
We will ship world wide.
