Your bilge pumps did not break your stator. With that in mind, there is absolutely no reason to get overly fancy here. Just a good switch and dual 500's its a proven, simple, and reliable setup.

bilge--inline fuse--switch--battery.... the simpler things are the less amount of things could go wrong with them..

ive left my bilge on by accident for 3 days with no problems and that wasnt the only time lol.. rule makes a good reliable product...

Don't waste your time and money dude, Like Matt E said your BP didn't waste your stator. Keep it simple. I ride 100% salt and I've run this exact set up problem free for 10 yrs+

I use this manuel switch, to much jiggling around on a ski for pumps with a float switch to work correctly

I have the manual switch from blowsion. I only have two complaints, 1 it pops out every once in a while secondly every now and then I pump it to the off position. They are easy fixes by rotating the switch and maybe some glue on the inside or a zip tie. They aren't a big enough of a deal that I've tried to solve it. Minor problems I guess you can say.

This is even more simple, cheaper, requires no switch, is ALWAYS on when you need it, and ALWAYS off when you don't. Plus, the switch NEVER goes bad. Been trying to convince people to get these for years. The few that did, are happy they did. I've ran the same one from 1997 to 2009, with no problems. (I only replaced it because I upgrade to an 1100) It still works. Meanwhile, I've watched dozens of 'waterproof' switches go bad and 500's freeze up.

Plus, only $66, with no switch to buy.

Another plus, tide comes in while your ski is tied up or on the beach? your pump is always ready.
Scupper leaking while tied off to a boat or dock? your pump is always ready.
Lose your ski in the surf and can't get to it fast enough? Your pump is ALWAYS ready, and is pumping water before you can get there!

Before I would replace a switch, I would buy one of these.

i have my bilge pump connected to a circuit breaker then into en electronic control module that controls the bilge pump on and off based on different sensors i have powered up throughout the ski.then the ecm controls and resists the amount of voltage going to the pump.:shocked:HOLY COW!

I have duel 500's on my X2. If I do duel 500's again, I will be doing 2 switches. One switch down low that is on most of the time. A second switch on the bars I can toggle as needed.

DJkorn makes a good arguement though.

I promise, you won't go back, and no switches needed. I just run the rulemate 1100....faster than dual 500's.
