that's awesome that someone is at the track to take pics every week. I wish someone would be at the lake all the time.

Those weren't ruts, that track is butter. I spectated the Unadilla GP in 89 when they left the track alone all year except for the one race all the Europeans came to the country for the GP event. It starts of one big rolling natural pasture of green grass. Then it rains for 3 days before the weekend. Everywhere you looked was axle deep ruts side by side by side up the face of every jump and some filled with water and goo that hadn't been splashed off onto the spectators or stuck to the bikes. It blew my mind to see Guy Cooper (Pastrana's crazy uncle) blasting out of the gravity cavity further than anyone and watching the pros ride at speeds I could consider if the track was buffed flat. The full width of the track was one rut next to another and this is a huge outdoor track. Blew my mind how good those guys were.

word! our track always starts the day off as a perfectly groomed slice of heaven itself on earth .. by about 11:00AM its armageddon.. by about 1PM its every man for himself, victory at sea ...

myself, i like me a poserish, soft, buttery, groomed to perfection track.. i'm still a baby at mx.. the a-b guys love the banged up, beat to death, braking bumps everywhere track... i can see from that vid, that was probably about 10 AMish or so.. not so smooth, not really rough either.. at about noon-1, that track is hell

i ran the GNCC two years ago at unadilla, and literally for three days before the event it rained, not to mention ir ained the day of the event. it was the only other race where they let AM riders on the national track....1400 and some odd people (maybe more) showed up, there were over 100 people in my class (0-200cc B at the time). i wont even begin to tell you about ruts and pile ups...i have never seen so many bikes stuck and people just leaning their bikes up against trees because you couldn't get through because of all the people.


i like the tracks beat up, it helps seperate the pack, its alot easier for people to go fast when its groomed...
