FX-1 Anyone running ratchet hood strap on FX1

I put on one of EJ's ratchet straps on the FX1. I really like it but because the FX1 has no hood brackets it is harder to get the hood to sit right. The stock front clamp centered the hood.
Just wondering how you remidied the problem.

i put one on my fx-1 because i kept breaking my stock hood latches. i am using one of those billet pieces on the front that i got from northwet powersports. its not the best setup in the world but it works for now. if i were to do it over i would run the stock setup and ej's strap. i think im gonna run both on my rn. i just dont like how the straps expand once they get wet and nothing really keeps it from moving side to side.

Ive got one on my F1 that has yet to see any use but Ill admit it makes me nervous!! Im considering adding hood latches as the ratchet system is all Ive got.

those wernt the opinions i was hope'n 4.
i was wanting to run the x-metal setup but it doesnt have the hood latch part on the bracket. i guess i will have to do some welding on the lowered bracket i buy.
