ankle breaker footholds

I forgot!
too much time in the off season leads to my buddy Steve building some crazy footholds. obviously we haven't tryed them out yets because of the ice in the river but they look a little dangerous on the ankles when learning rolls and flips. just thought i'd share a pic or two of them, if he don't like them he will cut them out and if he breaks his ankles he should let me ride his new lamey power:headbang:

I can see how it might be nice but my spidy sence is tingling!

If you were to build that same hump out of 25mm padding from Hydroturf, you could grind it into sahpe and turf over it.

Maybe a lttle more user freindly.

built my own similar to that and was out using them yesterday, they work realy well your feet will come out backwards if you get it wrong but definatly not sideways.

Thanks for the credit, BK. True I adapted my footholds similarly years ago after seeing Lenzis, Tocos, etc. Lenzi gets credit for inspiring me. They work great and do not break ankles. They are almost a must for doubles when you need to pull very hard to get around that second time.
You guys have done a beautiful job with yours. Now go out and roll!

Bugger the foothold, why in the hell do you have 2 B-pip head pipes sitting on your shelf?? You put them there when you took the picture just to rub it in, right?

Haha, na, those foothold look quite nice. They'd help tp strengthen the tray area nicely too you think.

yeah the xft holds is what gave us the idea but they cut into the back of the ski more so that your feet are straight, not duck toed . at least that is what i thought from the pictures i've seen, glad to hear that they have been used before and that they will work.
