am i the only person who wont ride in the wind?

the wind has just been killing the sport for me lately, im always broke but when i do get some money and get to go ride, BAM, crazy winds! and ill park it, and $35 down the drain...

what do yall do? i just cant do it, its seems everytime i leave the ground i get some crazy gust that tries to throw the bike out from under me.

The winds are THAT bad? Always more windy out on the water being a flat surface. But never that bad.

I was following you, till you said 'bike'. :joke:

We're the same. Our max speed I ride in is 15-20 mph. Kim only goes up to 10-15 mph. Beyond that and your doing not much more then fighting the chop. Fighting the chop the whole ride isn't much fun IMO.

The best waves on our lake seems to come from 10-15 mph winds. This past weekend it was gusting to 50+ mph this weekend, so we didn't go out. :smile:

$35 wasted isn't too bad. It's the 1+ hours 1 way that makes it bad. :wink:

freaks me out to.. take off on the left side of the jump and land on the far right.. but what happens when I take off from the middle..? adiós mustachio, guess we better learn how to scrub

maybe its because the places i ride are in valleys, and the winds builds up down there idk. i dont usually have a problem on the lake, the chop usually dosent get that bad

what is really getting me lately is that it seems the wind only gets the bike and tries to pull it out from under me, it use to be like your saying, land several feet over from the takeoff, i havent crashed because of it yet, buts ultra sketchy and its never constant, its just random gusts.
