Super Jet Am i screwed?

I'm building a superjet from a donor b2 and parts off the net. I got an ebox that is supposed to be a 61x from a b1 but the diagram isn't the same. The grommett that has the start/stop wires has 8 wires not 4 and there are 3 connectors hanging from it. I searched yamaha's parts diagram and it looks like it might be from something else. The cdi is labeled 6m6-01

I was going to send the s/s and the ebox end to jss to get worked over when i figured this out. Is this going to f me? I have a 61x flywheel and msd enhancer too.

A lot of yamaha parts are interchangeable. While i can't comment on whether or not you have the right part(s) without looking at them, i can tell you it's not hard or expensive to get the right parts together to make it run correctly.

that sounds like the numbers off of a 650 from a sn superjet if it is it should work I run one with my 701

I dont know about "extra holes" if you want i could send a pic or you just post one

maybe it has i tidy bilge installed? I have no idea just a geuss
and what are the other wire's colors pink= speedometer I think

it sounds like an older couch ebox with a speedo wire. what colors are all of the wires? the start stop should be brown/red, black/white. The extras could be cut off at the grommet or find another grommet. Don't use CDI's labeled 6m6 because the have lower rev limiters built in.

what ever is going on it's not a big deal, most yamaha parts are interchangable. post a pic so we can see what you're talking about.

Here are both ends of that section. I have a msd enhancer that i want to run instead of the stock cdi. I want to make sure that i don't mess the motor up by running miss matched electronics.

It sounds like you are replacing the only component that has anything to do with the engine running, that being the CDI box, you are good , go with it.

I'm replacing the 6m6 CDI with a MSD enhancer, but my flywheel is a 61x from a different source. I keep seeing stators advertised as 6m6/61x which leads me to believe that they are the same. Is that correct or do i now need to find a 61x stator?
