Super Jet Am I good to huck it?

Hey guys this winter i reinforced my sj for some flat water barrel roll attempts. I filled the bond line. Did a 7 inch layer of 1708 biax down the bond line. Then I did a layer that covered the whole side from under the hood seal down to the bottom of the ski. Then i reinforced under the pole bracket areas with like 5 layers to make it bullet proof. I really only had barrel rolls in mind when i did this and researched it out. Lately ive been kicking around huckin a backy off a v wake. I know i wont make it around because my motors stock. But anyways, will i hurt my ski if i pancake it off some v wakes trying backflips? Stock hood, pole, and nosepiece by the way.
Thanks, Levi

You can make it around with a stock motor if you get a good v-wake and know what you're doing.

Yeah the v wake should be big, at least i know its doable. Will it hurt my ski at all though with the way i reinforced? And will the stock hood hold up to pancaking off a v wake?

It will hurt the ski a little, sure. Motor mounts will suffer, but probably not the first few times. Just make sure you bring them around and all will be good.

Yeah i know the stock mounts are crap. I did put kenny keepers on though so that should by me some more time though. Im more worried about cracking part of the hull or hood....

Keepers won't help with that.
The hood probably will crack, nothing you can do about that. Hull should be fine.

The Keepers won't help with stabs and 3/4 backies unless you hit solid bottom. All they do is keep the motor from moving forward more than half an inch. That doesn't happen unless you hit bottom.
I can't tell you what will happen to your hood, only that a stock hood will not stand up to prolonged abuse like that.

I know Matt E will keep u covered on this but in my experience... If your gonna be pancaking it a lot....

I've blown out my plastic battery tray, both Oem hood hooks on ski and hood and one brap strap.

Get some nice hood hooks, an aluminum battery tray, some good motor mounts with Kenny keepers, hood strap and u should b ok... It'll still abuse your ski

I have hood straps so i dont think the hood hooks will be an issue will they? And i was just planning on running to stock mounts till one broke. Then i was going to replace them. Ill have to keep a watchful eye on them though. I suppose if all the mounts broke the motor could clear the coupler and come through the hood....that would be ugly. lol

Well I failed and pulled a 3/4 backflip off a set up wake and blew the brap strap on two as well as the hood latch and it sank that day. Also, I another failed roll attempt I landed a bit sideways and shifted the hood left two right a good 2 inches. Bent the Oem hood hooks so bad the front would just lift up after u "latched" it down. Blew out my battery tray the same way. Figured I'd get ya to think Ab the small parts so you don't end up having to sit out a session bc you ended up snapping one like I did.
