Other aluminum brazing rod's

i no it's not jet ski related but maby it could be for repairs. but it looks interesting.im a union ironworker so we weld all kinds of steel but never aluminum.i found this website that has these aluminum brazing rods. and it says all you need is a propaine torch and the rods.
has anybody ever tried this or is this just bogus.. here's the site.. http://www.durafix.com/

I tried it a few years ago.
Bogus if you require any kind of strength at all.

Bout all it's good for is to tack parts together than carefully take them to a welder. Just don't sneeze.

I used these to repair a hole in a stock ride plate once. They say the key is using a stainless brush to clean the surface.

As mentioned, I wouldn't use it for anything heavy duty.

using a stainless brush is a standerd cleaning method when tiging aluminum. Aluminum needs to be very clean to get a good weld.
I would not use the method you mentioned. Go to a collision repair shop and ask them to use 3m panel bond for whatever your trying to do. Panel bond is crazy strong and bonds aluminum very well.
