Ok.......
I have a 760 Yamaha motor with dual mikuni 44 carbs, jet maniac head. It's in a 03 Polaris octane. One of the carbs is leaking fuel after you shut the machine off. I cleaned the needle and seat, had some particulates in there, and it leaks less now but still leaks.
Should I replace the needle and seat?
Also I have a small puddle of fuel down in the intake from this leaking, you can look down the carb and see fuel. How do I get that fuel out or burned? Would it be stupid to stick a long lighter down the carb and light this little puddle?? I've been turning the motor over with no plugs trying to clear the gas but it's like it never stops.
The machine runs good and strong when it finally starts. Plugs are cardboard brown in color. When it doesn't start and I pull a plug, it's soaked with fuel.
Any help and input would be much appreciated. I NEED to get back riding!
