760/701 questions, a few of them

So here's the deal.

Just got a 760 (64x) engine. Just looking at the engine now, the coupler is a "5 finger" coupler. How do I get this to work on my superjet with a 3 finger coupler?

The exhaust is different (but I can use a stock 701 exhaust? I think)

Let me know what you guys think I need?

thanks all

You're better off with a b pipe, but yes you can run stock 701 exhaust. You will have to drill out the bolt holes in the exhaust manifold to match your cylinders. You may also have to rejet/adjust carbs to compensate for a more restrictive pipe.

I will get a b-pipe when I can afford it (anyone wanna trade my JS550 for a b-pipe)

How can I get a 5 finger coupler on my short shaft
(or should I say how do i get my 3 finger off the short shaft?)

A vise, a cloth to go around the midshaft to keep from gouging it, and a 2x4 that needs to be turned in the standard direction to loosen; Left.

While that is possible, you need to be aware that the exhaust ports do not match.

so will a 701 b-pipe manifold fit on a 64x ?

Yes, but you need to either drill out the manifold or use timeserts/helicoils on the cylinder.

For the ports, you can simply match the manifold ports. I Have done that without a problem.

Grind the smaller of the ports to match the larger one. While watching the wall thickness!
