SX/SXi/SXi Pro 750sx dash removal...help!

so, i ripped out the old hydroturf today to begin the foothold install, and i wanted to remove the dash so i can returf that area and make it look clean after the footholds are installed. looks like the hood latch is riveted to the dash plate?? i have from left to right the primer, the hood latch, and the fuel selector. also how does the primer come apart without ruining it? how do i get this dash plate off??

You should have 4 nuts behind the e-box that you have to un-do so you have separate the latch from the panel.

Also my ski has the stock twist knobs that you just screw off so I cant help you with the primer.

Does that help....

first off dude, if you can't figure out how to disassemble your ski your prob not qualified. Second, if you want your dash to look clean; get a fuel pickup and do away with the selecter, mount your primer under the hood. Then turf your whole dash smooth. I filled in that uneven void with xtra layer of turf. As for the latch, drill the rivets and rerivet or use nuts and bolts but DON'T forget to compensate for the lost of thickness from removing the dash pad. You will suffer from hood loss due to uneven latches. I learned that one the hard way..ps thanks again to you catz at wave daze for draggin my ski off the ocean floor!

thanks for the info. i was just looking for the easiest way to do it. this is my first stand up, my last ski was an x-2 and it was without dash. i got the hull hacked up now for a foot hold install.....anyone got an easy way to get those purple tubes cut out of the back? going in thru the tray side with a dremel is taking forever.....
