750 sx running hot

I am running a dry pipe with water injection on my 750 sx.I just added an extra cooling line from the head and the pipe seems to be running more hot now.Also had a friend with a 650 sx who just added a cooling line and blew a hole in his piston yesterday.Why is this?

extra outlet w/out an extra inlet will allow the water to flow out faster than in, causing the cylinders to over heat, the post result of that would be detonation w/ the reprocutions of a nice hole in the piston, burnt rings and such

So where do you go in at for a second cooling line.Now I have my secondary from the head going to a pisser.I guess I need that one to be water coming in insted of out.is that right.

you will need to drill and tap the bottom of the exhaust manifold for an inlet then run a extra line through the hull to the pump cavity, this can be done w/ a very long drill bit and copper tubing, seal w/ 5200 drill and tap the pump in the stator vein area for a pick up similar too the stock 1.

1/4 or 3/8 fittings
3/8 copper pipe about 20" in length

co-ordinating drill bit and tap.
new hose for the new fittings

a solid afternoon job but not real difficult

by cooling line, do you mean another pisser?
if so, you are throwing too much water overboard and reducing cooling flow to the pipe. put in a flow restrictor or eliminate the extra pisser

which may not be a bad idea in LA
what are your warmest summer temps?

not a bad idea

also a wide open pisser off the head
can accelerate water flow across the head
to become turbulent (think whitewater)
and turbulent water doesnt transfer heat away from the head
as well as slower water, hence reduced cooling

has any one ever tried putting another cooling port ontop of the head opposite to the standard one
