SX/SXi/SXi Pro 750 ss running issues..

Fix em up!
I have a Kawasaki 750 SS that will run great for about 10 - 15 min and then shut off like you hit the kill switch... It does not piss out of the side alot. I have tried replacing the carb with one off of my 650 ts (Figured to try before buying one) and it helped as far as it didn't shut off but it felt like it was hitting a rev limiter on and off... (Would run good than not rev... then run better and then not rev...) I'm at a loss with it and am getting frustrated... I checked compression and it has 145psi on bolth cyl.. thanks in advance for any and all help...

You do realize the jetting is way off if you put a 650 carb on a 750 right , don't run it like that or you will seize it up for sure from being too lean.

Fix em up!
I bought another 750 carb and put it back on... (The 650 was a "Racing use only" carb and the jets looked to be bigger than the 750...) just have to repair the front of the hull... (ripped the eyelet off the front... beed poorly repaired before...) , replace the drive shaft bearing/seal and try it out again... just wondering if there was anything obvious I was missing...

Since you are going to have the engine out, pressure test it so you can cross that off the list when it comes to diagnosing the problem once it's back together.
