i have a 650 sx and the starter took a dump. now seeing as this is the first time i have had to replace a starter in this ski, how the hell do you get it out?? already removed the two bolts on the back of the starter that attach it to the block, and the damn thing wont come out. is there something else perhaps in the case holding this thing in? yeah i know i have rook written all over my face, but this shouldnt be hard to do at all. help. anyone ?

Pull it straight back. It's held in by a tight fit.

take the pipe off, much easier to get to

Don't take the pipe off. You got the 2 bolts out that hold the starter on so from there it's easy. Taking the pipe off is a waste of gaskets.
