650 not hooking up?

My 650 starts and runs fine on tralier but when i get it in the water i get it passed a quarter throttle and it just doesnt go. My rmps go up and my thrust from my jet seems like it goes up but the ski wont even go fast even to plane really. When i started it on tralier it rattled bad and when i shut it off it was grinding too. Would something pump wise/shaft be causing this?

check impellor for wear
check pump seal and pump shoe for integrity
check pump veins for damage

the impeller is fine, but i didnt check the bearings in the pump, could that cause the ski not hook up when i give it throttle?

not really , i'd focus on the pump seal.

rea seal it w/ right stuff gasket maker

Yea the grinding happens when i shut off the ski and it wines down, it will rattle and you can hear it grind a little. The impeller it hiting the wall of the pump. Im guessing thats not normal. The pump seal should be fine i resealed it with silicon when i took the pump off.

its normal out of the water, but not in the water.

Out of the water you can hear it grind. The ski ran perfect last week i dont know what could have cause this...I'll take the pump off to see, anything else i can check that might be an issue? I was thinking the shaft or the engine coupler too, would a bad one of those cause this problem?
