650/X-2 650 carb/bogging need help bad

Hey guys so I have been having major issues with my ski randomly bogging really bad ever since i got it. I have tryed juet about everything. I spent about 4 hours on the water yesterday seeing if I could tune it out. I could make the issue worse but never better. it has a fresh motor and brand new head gasket, new plugs, reeds are clean, rebuilt fuel pump 3 days ago, resealed/ gaskets on intake side yesterday morning, no exhaust leaks, cleaned carb/ jets.
the motor is all stock other that I just put on oil injection block off and the lower drain block off.
I heard from a good ski machanic that these Keihin carbs are nothing but trouble.
does anyone in SoCal have a know good carb that I could try to figure out whats going on. Any advice would be aprietiated.
With the money that I have put into it within the last two weeks I could have bought a superjet by now. I am done putting money into it till I know exactly what it needs. If I cant figure it out this week I will probobly sell it.

You heard wrong, probably one of the most reliable carbs out there. Lets start at the beginning, have you checked the pop off pressure on the carb, is there a rubber seal on the fuel pickup to seal it to the tank, have you pulled the carb apart and thoroughly cleaned it, what happens when you are running it and pull the choke, does it get better or worse, have you pulled off the plug caps and trimmed the wires, what mods are done to the ski, what jets are in the carb,what spark plugs are you running,with the flame arrestor off is there any blowback coming out of the carb when it is running, have you checked or bypassed the fuel valve? answer as much of this as you can and get back to me. :bigok:

I dont know what pop off carb pressure is
yes there is the rubber seal on the tank
I pulled the carb apart and cleaned it real well 2 days ago
If I touch the choke when it is bogging it gets extremly worse and will die with a couple seconds if I dont release it.
I have not trimmed the wires yet, was going to today but havent realy figured out how these ones come apart. So I just scraped the inside to clean the contacts
the motor is a stock 650 motor other then the oil injection block off and lower drain block off (cant remember exactly what its draining) as for the ski though, it has ride plate, grate, bars, finger throttle and I think new impeller.
I dont know what jets are in it. I assumbed stock
I have NGK BR8ES spark plugs
there is no blowback at all with the flame arester off
I have not bypassed the fuel valve but fuel flows through it fine when drain from motor side of it and the ski runs fine for awhile then just starts doing this

If I was to guess I would say your CDI- coil is probably bad, it is over 20 years old by now.

sorry had to go make some coolaid after seeing you avatar. That was one of my main thoughts too. there is just no way that I can afford to buy one without know for sure that is the issue.
