A heads up for 4 stroke SJ owners:
I got back in from a ride and noticed my hood was not sitting on the hull correctly. Turns out all of the clips on the right side, white panel of the hood are broken. It's a flimsy plastic design as most of us have noticed. I'm under warranty so I'll see if I can get it replaced, but I'm sure this will be a royal pain in the rear. I will be using panel bond or silicone to seal the inner and outer shells on my next hood to help reduce vibration and give it some strength. I'd venture to guess these are weak points in general but also when turning sharp, water pulls on the inside of the white panel and eventually pulled hard enough and broke these tabs. Regardless, this clearly shouldn't be happening. I have about 25 hours on the ski so far. It appears that these hoods are 3 piece, the black inner liner and a white left & right side panel. Hoping to get it sorted out quick. Check your hoods and try and prevent this from happening to you!
