Freestyle 300 sx build suggestions please

Just picked up a 300sx that I am putting an 800 ported motor in. Looking for suggestions. I stripped everything off the ski and it weighed 89 pounds. Just the hull, no hood, no pole, no pump. Just the bare hull. Anyhow today I put a 550 sx pump in it with a 750 sxi driveshaft and thru hull bearing. Started fabbing up some mounts and have the motor set up in place. Trying to figure out what pipe to use. I have lots to chose from. I tried fitting a factory pipe in it but it is real tight to the gas tank and a little close to the side of the ski. It fits but not real good a couple of places that could rub. I also have a R and D pipe for a sxi that is a little more compact and seems to fit better. What do you guys think of using this pipe? I know the factory is the way to go but the R and D looks more suited for room. Also trying to figure out a water box I think if i stand up a coffman that came out of my 550 sx it will work or maybe a stock amuminum one out of a 750 sx any ideas on this? Will try to post some pictures Thanks for any help--Jason--

First off what are you looking to do with the ski, if its for freestyle ditch the 550 pump idea as it will hold you back and no amount of power will overcome the shortcomings of that pump. Second ditch the stock tank , its too much hassle, put a cart tank in it.

Yeah the tank is whats in the way of the pipe. If I could move the motor back an inch it would clear alot nicer. Guess I might have to get a cart tank. Seen a few builds on here but your is about the only one that has been finished. I plan to put a 750 pump in it but for now the 550sx pump came out of a conversion ski that I had it had a dual carb big pin with a westcoast head, and westcoast pipe. Ski was fast but almost felt over propped even with the pipe dryed out. Will try to post some pictures

Its actually not finished as the hood and nose piece still need to be painted to match the rest of the ski, I did finally find a pole spring and installed it along with finishing off the underside of the pole this week, is looking veddy noice !
