Make it impossible to reply to a sale thread, unless you have 50 posts or have been a member for longer than 6 months. If this is unfeasible. Make it so each post by a new member has to be approved before its posted in a sale or buy thread.
Think you missed the point of my comment. There are already questions that have to be answered......
Also, if a newby finds our site, they are not going to know who Rick Roy is, What the predecessor to the Phantom is. What TPE stands for, etc etc..... The questions pretty much stop the BOT's which use to be a problem....... Now it is actually a person doing this........ Guess what, They can google and find any answer to any question.
Guess what else. I find some of the scammers that play the long game. They join, they make random comments, some actually have some knowledge or are regurgitating info they found. They may wait a year or more to drop the "Contact

How do we root them out? Next question, Make them wait til they have been a member for 6 months, see comment before this one, "Long Game"...........
The 50 post idea is pretty good., Except what about the Jetskier you met this past weekend comes here because you said "Check out the X", He was looking for parts, Now he has to make 50 post to start asking. So we get another "Post Here" thread so you can post...... Guess what. These scammers will just start with BS answers to drive their post count............Which will clutter up everyone's post.............
I get it, it is frustrating....... Now who do you think is more frustrated? Members or the few Admin's and members that will actually take the time to Report Post these? Which I appreciate them doing.........
