1229 miles......

From the Tenessee event, to GA and home within 24hrs.....

I will never attempt that again, especially by myself.....

I had a great time there, and a great time meeting everyone, but now i need to recover from that drive. the rains from VA upward were so hard. How the hell i was able to see i have no idea....

lesson learned...... take your time driving

i stopped 3 times total for gas, and one 15 min snooze (it was raining so freaking hard to get out of the car).
drank 2 frosty shakes, which gave me an incredible sugar rush and got me sick (not to mention motion sickness setting in).
i don't:
smoke
drink
do drugs
or take alot of sugar or caffine (hence the rush)

but those shakes were a kicker, and so was some of the tea's
biggest mistake was drinking a cup of tea on an empty stomach, i am so sick from that

was making excellent time until i got stuck in the DC traffic, and then rain northward bound. just missed the NYC traffic. sucked that i didn't have the e-z pass, but all in all not bad

gas in SC was like 2.30ish, i wanted to take a tanker home.

over the last 2.5 weeks, i made that trip 3 times from NY to GA, GA to NY, flew to GA, and then TN to GA to NY
that'll take the driving bug out of anyone

but at least i was able to ski in fresh water for the first time in my life.
I don't think i can ever ski in salt water again

i gotz a few other threads i'll be starting shortly, including what i thought of the tenessee event from a first time prespective.

gotta spend time with my other half now :)
I've been dying to do that.......

Heh....having someone in the vehicle with you really helps.
I drove WA to IL and back in four days, the return trip without stops (other than gas). That's over 4k miles, but just having someone to talk to made it possible.

Oh yeah, plenty of coffee & energy drinks.

BTW, pop (Pepsi, whatever) never works a caffeine number on me, either.

Then again, I drink double-bagger coffee's in the morning. (3)

Paul did an awesome job on my ski
and it's still going as strong, if not stronger that it was when it was first done.

however since it is a stroker, i think i will shed Paul's advice and do a tear down.

Speak up ,don't kiss azz
I did 20 hrs straight from Daytona Beach to Massachusetts and I feel your pain.1200+ miles by myself .I was towing a 4 place trailer and driving my 15 passenger van all the way .

I did this so I could atttend my first surf fest and it was well worth it :arms:
I drank red bull the first 12 hrs and on will power alone the rest of the way .

it's better having a friend with you for conversation at least :banghead:

it was great to meet you too

actually driving the ATV around was like an added bonus....

Besides.... Megan did most of that driving

in order to beat her (at something) i had to ride in the front of the quad....
after i said i'll beat you back to the site since i was in the front of it... she gets to the site, pulls up in reverse and says i still beat you....
she's one tough cookie and pretty smart too

It was great getting to hang out with you this weekend.
Parr wasn't lying, I think my arms are an inch longer after riding your ski. Thanks for all the help with lifting and towing. I don't know if Pauls trailer would be unloaded so easy if we did't have you there.
I am glad you made the trek.
