08 SJ trim

Hey guys I was reading somewhere a little while ago that with the 08 SJ you can make a trim out of the existin nozzle or something like that. Can anyone offer me more info?

It has a trim ring and nozzle setup but the ring is bolted to a boss on the pump. It looks like it could be converted to a drop trim pretty easily but would need some modification to make any significant up trim.

so what would i have to do to make it have trim? I am new to SJs. is there something equivelant to X2 trim for for the kawi?

Not sure, as I didn't look at it very long, what it would take to make the '08 trim work. But I would say the closest thing to an X2 trim to kawis would be a waveraider trim to yamaha.

I may be wrong, but as far as I know, (correct me if I'm wrong, boys) the only reason most peeps need trim is to make a flat water back flip boat. If that's your goal, go for it. Otherwise, don't bother to go to all the hassle.

Or just for the extra bling, one more shiny part on the handlebars, one more "custom" part on you build page and one more thing to go wrong on the lake :bad3:

i ride with 2 kawis and 1 octane and they all have it..maybe i want to fit? in hah JK.

I like the added pop it gives when i ride theirs. I pick mine up tomorrow. i wll have to give it a look.

Does the waveraider trim have enough travel to make it worth it?

They can be made to have a pretty good amount of travel, read through that C.A.T.S. thread.

The XFT set up is carbon.
