Ok, then take the 1000 back and install another 500 or just don't use one of the fittings in the hull.
What kind of scupper? oneway check valve or flapper type (24/7)

I would say take back the 1000 and get another 500. If I remember correctly you have a scupper valve so you really don't even need 2 pumps. I hardly ever use my pump because of the scupper.

¾” to 1" fitting in McMaster Carr #53415K136. I think ¾” to 1 1/8” you will have to make one up or the easiest way would be getting a bilge with 3/4" outlet from Wal-Mart.

Apparently we are not using the same material mine resumes its natural shape after about a minute and has no signs of wear after two years. Compression on this material is only 25% deflection. There are many different types’ of neoprene and sponge rubber. I have found the neoprene with EPDM for...
Yes, I use Neoprene/EPDM/SBR Rubber, #8694k87 from McMaster Carr. It has worked flawlessly. It is closed cell and has great density and compression characteristics for this particular use. Holds the hood real nice with no slip.

Without helmet pic. I use one all the time now!
I also have this bad habit of sticking out my tongue during stupid human tricks. I am using a tooth guard right now to train myself to keep my mouth shut.
