You can use a dial caliper or micrometer to measure the solder after it has been squished. You are looking for .050 squish. Mark44

No carb adjustment is necessary but you do need to check your squish angle and check compression to see where you are at. You can get a head gasket from jet ski soluitions or just about any place. Mark44
