I have learned this lesson the hard way....back a couple of years ago I was rding some winter surf alone on my 97 GP12
well, I nose dived..endo'd and the boat came up upside down about 100 yards away on an outgoing tide
I got back to it about 10 mins (felt like 10 years) later...and I...
seems to me it would depend on the technique, layering and reinforcement..youre statement is just to broad
composition on SJ hulls has varied over the years..that is common knowledge
I know one thing.....I have ZERO interest in an 05+ OEM hull....I have personally seen 3-4 of them crack with...
not sure...never weighed it
it will carve similar to an sxr, maybe not quite as hard......but I know if I rip it a little too hard into a wave, the boat will hook so hard that it will compress my whole body right into the tray
hence my user title
I totally agree BK....I did have the chance to ride butti's boat (WDK superjet rip..in fact the ONLY one ever sold) that has the REV bottom..
granted, it was in fixed steering format...close enough
I had some doubts about its handling at first, so did John....but all it took was 1-2 days in...
probably because he was trying to get his own design out on the market...The f1-pro is 3800 and it uses less material than both so who knows!?! :dunno:
To the OP:
Here is my take on the REV hull. It has characteristics of both the SJ and the SXR. The back end is very loose and easy to...
are these serious statements? :twak:
each and every one of these boats handles differently....There have been a couple GOOD riders that have purchased REV hulls and straight given up on them due to the way they handled..(i use this as an example only)
reason: it doesnt handle like a SJ...
I hear ya Matt....I didnt even look at some companies when I was shopping for simple fact of:
"call for price"
I know I know prices vary with what you want...but come on, not listing prices is just shooting yourself in the foot!
:stups::burnout:
