One thought. The ski is sitting in the sun and the tank pressure builds up kind of like your gas jugs sitting in the sun. The check valves on the pump side of the carbs are bad and allow the pressure from the tank and lines to pop the needle off the seat and leak fuel into the engine.

I was wondering the same thing how could a sub do that? Did you not have a hood on? A new hood seal may be in order. I know of some material from McMaster that works quite well for me. Is one of your air intake tubes pointed right at the carbs?

I have one also and have had it for 3 years now. Mine is under the hood and I hardly ever use it unless I get flooded. I am sure they can go bad just like every other primer. :biggthumpup:

Hardened stainless what series are you using never heard of hardened stainless it doesn't have enough steel properties to be hardened. Why don't you just use a piece of 14 to 12 ga. T 304 Stainless? No need for ¼” plate.
