in fl, you can put them any removable part of the ski (pole or hood in our case). they have to be at the fore section of the ski and above the bondrail. i have mine on the pole.

i have a raider (i think) nozzle on my SJ. it doesnt have the vanes in it like the SJ nozzles that ive seen. mine points straight back... i didnt notice any upward tilt to it. are you sure its not just the steering nozzle thats pointing up?

not a bad thought for a cheap mod.; i have a coffmans/yami manifold and some kawi 650 pipes. i never thought of trying that. if i did try it, id have to remove one of 2 bpipes we have installed on our SJs though. and thatd be nutty!
