Ya, thats the system I have too. You will love it. You will be able to get you weight more forward over the ski and make it easier to man handle it into submission..
I'm 6'1 and between my pole shortening & Xmetal steering I have a total of -7.5"
Have fun!
Mikuni BN/SuperBN and Keihin Carb kits now in stock and ready to ship!
All gaskets made fresh daily! Ah! that new gasket smell!
See first post with list and prices!
Have a great day! :D
Bueller? Bueller? anyone?
5,6,7,8K? Come on.. I wont be offended!
Tons of mods done to this boat...
Just curious what other people with similar skis think and what the market is doing right now...
That makes sense Kevbo on a big sitdown hull where there is more area and more easily prone to flexing... but i wonder why the new SJ's have them? Obviously there must be more room under there than 96-07's, so why do it now?
Just because they can?
Maybe the new bottom deck design is more...
Here is a couple of pics from my old build thread when i installed one.
When your running the PVC pipe with teeth through cutting the foam hole, make sure you keep pushing the tube towards the bottom corner inside the ski so that you keep a nice straight hole and that way everything will line...
Danm thats cool. It will basically be like having the new X-2, since the bottom hull is the same! Pretty cool Tom.
You must buy bondo by the 5 gal pail..lol
You dont like red hardener?
Ya, thats the new thing now. The "Kawi-doo" is obsolete. They are getting more power from the 1100 and its pipe in the GP class. Let me know if you need a 1100 engine. My buddy just bought 12 1100 STX's that were rentals. I'm sure you could get a rebuilder real cheap.
Danm, he sure does go...
Thinking about selling my ski... There is a house that I want to buy and need down payment money. Hate to do it, but NOW is the time.... I have another ski build set up for this winter.
What do you guys think its worth? i have a ton of time and mods in this boat(as you can see)...
i thought about it when it was the "talk of the X" for awhile. I even put in good words for Dan about being a man of his word and a bunch of other stuff when he started his Stunt thread.
i had met Dan and his Father when he was with Paul Lehr, and they came to my house during the World finals...
Not to mention light weight XFT Fly hulls, mag pumps and the works.
I've sold some parts to Yamaboy2000 in the past. He's a cool dude to talk with. He really know his stuff on what works and what doesnt...
The Myers Manx were built in CA... There were literally hundreds of companies that copied the original Myers Manx.
There are a few different original Myers Manx body styles. Some models are more rare than the other. My buddy has a Myers Manx 2 which only a couple hundred were made.
