The bendix only comes in contact with the flywheel when it gets spun by the starter. The part that meshes with the flywheel moves in and out.

Just picked up one of those turds and will be cutting it up today. Are any of the hull parts worth saving ? Hood, seat, steering, drive shafts ??

Not a big money maker but I'm sure you could sell a few. A pole bracket for the SN that accepts a RN pole. Legdragger used to make those and they work great. I know there are a few SN riders that would gladly pick one up.

You could always make one. A local speed shop here sells just about any gasket material.
