the turf looks great! the corners of the diamonds will start curling and tearing soon enough. some of them already are. i like the design (aside from the arrow), but that jap needs some drunken redneck american to show him how to turf for longevity. :P
by "good", do you mean "thick"?
a thick gasket will solve the pistons slapping the mating surface of the head dilemma, but if the goal is increased compression, a thicker gasket will negate putting the 650 head on in the first place.
the piston crown's diamter is 81mm. the dome's diameter is 77mm. the edge of the piston comes up to right around the deck height and bells upward from there.
if the inner edge of the dome (at the mating surface) is hovering over the crown of the piston, itd mean that part of the piston isnt...
the squish would be off due to the narrower diameter of the head vs the wider bore of the sleeve, possibly smashing the piston against the head at high RPMs, id think.
thatd be a downfall
i have an 86 750 x2 w/ a cage steering and a 89 or 90 hull with direct. if im not mistaken, the direct cable is fine if you sleeve the long rod under the hood to keep it from bending. my 89 (90?) hull has a beefed up cable so im hoping its okay for a future build.
is there any difference in...
it cant be that grand if youre not playing dressup and taking pics of yourself with an angry face in the mirror then uploading them for the world to see.:loser:
does your tank hold pressure?
could be a stuck needle and seat, bad checkvalve, cracked gas cap, loose hose, etc.
