i like the shiny tubes as well......polishing them will be just fine my wdk pole is not anodized and while it tarnishes slightly....it hasnt corroded in 3 years your best option is likely a polish (and clean?), or have them ceramic coated

kinda hard to tell from the photos, not much info at all....and even less GOOD pictures I have seen him do the same many different hulls..

a heavier hull will definatly have a smoother ride in choppy water many yamahas are partially constructed with SMC (sheet molded compound)

you could fill them with honda wax I have had intake grates that are half disintigrated, then changed them out with an identical intact grate and couldnt tell the difference
