I do top 1/2, middle closed, bottom 1/2. If you want more top speed, just open the top screw to 3/4. Mine doesn't sizzle, I like to keep it relatively cool. If you want, to run it a lil hotter close the bottom to 1/4.
HAHA! ...you've sunk that ski more than anyone I know.....Your switch'll last forever though, you never ride the salt.
Did some research on the "waterwitches". Great idea, but why do they have an 8 second delay before they kick on? That's wayyyyy to long.
Ronny, whatever you do is cool with us. You have given us thousands of killer pics over the years...Time for people to MAN UP and get Pro Rider to see all the chicks!
I am sick of breaking my front brackets...any pics of your hood with the strap setup??? Mine slides around too much to use no brackets. (unless you have a better way!)
any reasons why? besides fit?
Rulemate is...
1. More reliable.
2. Doesn't drain battery as much
3. Always ready and always on (if tied to a dock or whatever)
4. Less expensive
5. Easier install
RULE MATE auto is better, plus you don't need to buy a switch.

Not the RULEMATES. They have a float switch....always on when needed, always off when not, no killed batteries. Also have a stainless screen.... and no switch to burn up or die...
If you have a 4x4, you can drive right down the beach and lauch in the inlet and ride right out to the surf 100 yds away. NO TRAILERS though. Gotta put the ski in the truck.
