A similar thing happened to me last year . old dude was screaming and yelling at me for nothing, I was on a Seadoo so I just cut the motor off and stared him down, he didn't know what to think about that so he shut up and went back in his house.

I don't know why you say they don't make yamabond anymore , I recently bought some , it is in a plastic tube now instead of metal but the contents were the same, funny thing is I can buy Yamabond cheaper from the Kawi shop than from the Yami shop.

That pipe should work fairly well especially if you have the water injection that goes with it.

Thats not a hacked up ski its called a JS300B model,it is exactly that a 300 motor in a 440 hull.If you need a pump housing let me know , I am getting rid off all the 440-550 stuff here.

Or you can go to your local Yamaha shop and ask for a bottle of Yamaha carb cleaner, find a small plastic bowl to put it in, put the carb in the bowl, open the bottle and pour it in, the Yamaha carb cleaner will not eat the plastic or rubber parts of the carb but will remove any and all fuel...
